Silver Lining

Rivers Supply Fresh Drinking Water

Rivers are fresh water sources that run across the surface of land and normally lead to the ocean. Rivers supply drinking water to many. The water that comes out of the faucet in your home either comes from a lake, a river or an underground well.

Considering a great portion of the water we enjoy for drinking, cleaning and showering comes from a river source, it is extremely important that each individual takes steps to reduce water pollution. Not only will reducing pollution insure that there is clean, fresh water available to drink, but also that the wildlife that calls a river home is also protected from manmade waste.

Rivers are a source of life. Please protect the water source that so many people in your area depend on by not polluting and by spreading the word to others and increase life on the river.
