One of those movies that come to mind is “Gone with the Wind.” This movie is so compelling and filled with such raw emotion that it is hard for the viewer not to be enthralled. The eye catching scenery as we travel back in time to an era of when America was on the brink of civil war is simply breathtaking.
This movie is so captivating because it paints a perfect picture of a woman that has guts and a fiery spirit who will stop at nothing to have what she wants. The character, Scarlet O’Hara will forever go down in history as a rebellious southern belle who eventually has to fight hard to save her families plantation. In the midst of the war she wrestles with her feelings for Ashley Wilkes, who in fact is married to her dear, mild mannered and meek friend Millie. Never will there ever be another movie that so rivetingly depicts war and romance like that of “Gone with the Wind” and should be in your movie collection.
